How we use your information
This notice explains what MQ Electrical Services Ltd does with personal information collected through this website. We are the data controller for that information. Last updated September 2026.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address if you give it, postcode, and the details of the job you describe. If you email us photos, we keep those with your enquiry.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To arrange and carry out the work, and issue certificates.
- To keep records we are required to keep for tax, building regulations and our NICEIC registration.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and meeting our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing. Enquiries are received through our website host, Netlify, and handled in our Google Workspace email. If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages and photos are handled by WhatsApp. For notifiable work, NICEIC receives the property address and job details so it can notify building control. We may share information with an accountant for bookkeeping.
How long we keep it
If you don't go ahead with the work, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep job records and certificates for at least six years.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies, use analytics or load anything from third-party services.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us on info@mqelectricalservices.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
